February and still cold as ever!

February always seems to be the coldest month for us. Maybe because we're just so tired of the cold, the snow and being stuck inside, but after this winter I'm not so sure it can top these temps! I'm hoping February will be a warmer month than what we have been getting because I'm just over it!

I am cross stitching a calendar page each month with this beautiful design from The Snowflower Diaries monthly free pattern, Joyful world. As a new stitcher it took me so long to make my first one, but I'm getting faster and better as I go, and I really do enjoy it!

My husband, and the trooper he is, took our one warm day and put up a fence to separate the goats from the chickens! The chickens can still fly over and go where they like, but the goats can no longer get into their coop. Those girls have taken up the sport of head butting the chickens! At first they only did it when a chicken got too close, but Bailey specifically started really chasing them down. So now they have a spot of their own that they can feel safe in, but still venture over if they feel like it, which most of them do.

I haven't been able to write much. Mostly it's just cold and crummy out so their isn't much to see. I really can't wait for spring, new ducks, and warmer temps!

Here are some pictures of the crew from the past month!
